Job summary

We hire an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement therapies, focusing on ADL/IADL, cognition, and safety to maximize patient function and independence.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (online cert not acceptable).
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement treatment plans to maximize independence in ADL, IADL, work, and leisure.
• Deliver or delegate therapy services and address cognition, psychosocial skills, and sensorimotor function.
• Maintain documentation and collaborate with the care team to ensure timely goals.

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace is opening February 2025. Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary

Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
