Job summary

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan and deliver rehabilitation services in a hospital setting.

You will maximize patient function in activities of daily living, work and leisure, addressing cognition and sensorimotor needs while coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross is required; online certs not acceptable.
• Desired inpatient rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates and determines treatment strategies to maximize function.
• Delivers or delegates therapy across ADLs, IADLs, work, leisure and social participation.
• Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition and sensorimotor components.
• Implements interventions to promote safety and performance in daily living activities.

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace. Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary:

Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Pay:

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
