Job summary

Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to independently evaluate and plan treatment to maximize daily functioning and participation in work and leisure activities. The role involves delivering or delegating therapeutic services and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a brand-new facility.

Minimum qualifications include current OT licensure and BLS from AHA or Red Cross.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross (online certification not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and determine treatment strategies to maximize independence in ADLs, IADLs, leisure and productivity.
• Deliver or delegate services that prevent, remediate or rehabilitate impairments impacting safety and performance.
• Collaborate with the care team to address psychosocial, cognitive and sensorimotor needs and promote safe, effective rehab outcomes.

Position Summary:

Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
