Job summary

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is opening February 2025 and seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our newly opened facility with 60 private patient rooms.

Responsibilities include evaluating and planning treatment to maximize independence across ADLs, IADLs, work, and leisure, addressing cognitive and psychosocial aspects, and collaborating with the care team to implement effective interventions.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience is desirable.

• Deliver or delegate services to prevent and remediate functional impairments.
• Address psychosocial, cognitive, and sensorimotor components to promote safety and performance.

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace is opening February 2025. Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary

Independently evaluates, determines the treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged, skill or ability that has not yet is impaired in order to maximize function in the areas of activities of daily living, leisure/recreation, and productivity/work. Addresses dysfunction in psychosocial skills, cognition, and sensorimotor components. Interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL), education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
