Job summary

Join Home Health of Western Colorado in Montrose, CO as an Occupational Therapist (OT). This role delivers compassionate client care in a home health setting, with a focus on helping adults regain independence and improve quality of life.

The position offers pay between $46 and $52 per hour, with PRN and full-time daytime schedules and paid mileage for client visits. A valid CO OT license and at least one year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or registered in Colorado as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program or eligible for certification by the AOTA.
• Minimum of one year experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clients and provides Occupational Therapy per physician order.
• Supervises OT assistants and rehabilitation aides in direct care.
• Plans and coordinates OT services including scheduling, transportation, and paperwork.
• Performs duties as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
• Comply with the Occupational Therapy Practice Act in CO.

Pay Range: $46- $52 per hour based on previous work experience.
Schedule: Offering both PRN and Full-Time (M-F daytime hours)

Travel: This position requires travel to our client's homes. Paid Mileage!

What You Bring (Requirements)

• Must be licensed or registered in the state of Coloardo as an Occupational Therapist.
• Graduate from an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association or is eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association under its requirements.
• A minimum of one year experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Evaluates clients and provides Occupational Therapy upon the written order of the client's attending physician.
• Manages and supervises the Occupational Therapy assistants and/or rehabilitation aides in direct client care and client-related activities.
• Plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates the Occupational Therapy offered by the department (i.e.: assist with scheduling, transportation, filing, and mailing).
• Performs other duties or special assignments as directed by the Director of Clinical Services.
• Comply with the Occupational Therapy Practice Act in the state.
