Job summary

People Well Staffing is seeking a permanent Occupational Therapist to serve in Mountain View, CA, at a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will evaluate and treat patients to improve daily activities, mobility, safety, and quality of life while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active CA OT or COTA license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by the employer.
• Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in the applicable setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and/or treat patients to improve ADLs, functional independence, safety, strength, coordination, and quality of life.
• Develop or carry out individualized occupational therapy plans of care within licensure scope.
• Recommend or implement adaptive strategies and therapeutic activities as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and communicate changes to the care team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety.
• Complete timely documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
