Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Maryland is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join an interdisciplinary team delivering center-based early intervention for children aged 2–6. You will help build motor, sensory, feeding, and daily living skills while coordinating with a multidisciplinary group of clinicians.

You will work closely with families to set meaningful goals and apply the ESDM-informed framework, ensuring therapy is practical, engaging, and data-driven.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or eligible for licensure
• Current license to practice occupational therapy
• Experience working with children preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Interest in interdisciplinary pediatric care

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate occupational therapy for children ages 2-6
• Develop interventions addressing fine and gross motor skills, feeding, sensory needs, and activities of daily living
• Conduct assessments and develop coordinated treatment plans with SLPs, BCBAs, psychologists, and other clinicians
• Integrate occupational therapy goals into Soar's ESDM-informed approach to early intervention
• Support children with autism through naturalistic, individualized treatment
• Partner with families to develop meaningful goals and practical strategies for use at home
• Collaborate with RBTs and other clinicians to reinforce goals throughout the day
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans based on data and clinical judgment
