Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). The OTA will provide therapy to residents, conduct assessments, and work within an interdisciplinary team in a supportive environment. A California OT A license is required, with 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Sign-on bonus and PTO/referral bonuses are offered. Salary ranges from $85,280 to $104,000 annually, with PRN/on-call opportunities noted.

Qualifications

One (1) year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.
