Job summary

La Crescenta Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). The OTA will administer treatment to residents, support neuromuscular and musculoskeletal care, and work within an interdisciplinary team to achieve discharge goals.

Salary ranges from $85,280 to $104,000 with PRN/on-call duties. Benefits include PTO and referral bonuses. California license is required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to residents with neuromuscular/musculoskeletal issues.
• Conducts tests and measurements for muscle strength, ROM, and related functions.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to support safe discharge with OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
