Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapists in delivering patient-centered care and documenting treatments in the medical record. The OTA will collaborate with the rehab team to discuss progress and plans.

Ideal candidates hold an OTA degree and an active state license, with strong communication skills and a professional approach to patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license to practice as an OTA in the applicable state.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Records treatments given in the medical record.
• Participates in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
• Communicates with supervising therapist, rehab director and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress and plans.
• Participates in facility in-service training programs.
• Records daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedures and state OT rules.
