Job summary

San Joaquin Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis in Bakersfield, California. You will assist the OT, implement treatment plans, document progress, and support discharge planning.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a current CA COTA license and experience with Casamba and PointClickCare.

Qualifications

• Current California COTA license required.
• Proficient with therapy documentation systems (Casamba, PointClickCare).
• Strong communication and organizational abilities; able to follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatments as directed by the OT.
• Follow physician treatment plans for each patient.
• Document daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, and recertification.
• Communicate patient progress with the supervising OT and care team.
• Assist nursing staff and participate in in-service training.
• Participate in discharge planning and caregiver education.
