PT Solutions in Fort Walton Beach, FL is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist the Occupational Therapist in acute care. You will help with activities of daily living, mobility, balance, cognition, and strength-building programs to restore function.

Under supervision of a licensed OT, you will prepare treatment, support patients, and build relationships to help them exceed their functional goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA or CAPTE approved occupational therapy assistant program.
• State licensure required.
• Basic Life Support Certification via the American Heart Association.

Job description

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant assists the Occupational Therapist in the practice of occupational therapy to include development deficits, activities of daily living work conditioning, range of motion, coordination, balance endurance, cognition, and exercise programs to restore function and increase strength.

• Prepare equipment for treatment and assist an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients
• Establish strong relationships with each patient so that they have ability to exceed their functional goals
• Demonstrate a positive connection with patient, fellow clinicians, and other team members
• Build and maintain relationships throughout the community

• Base Salary: $48,000-$65,000/year (based on experience and market factors)
