Job summary

MercyOne in Davenport, IA is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. The OTA will support therapists across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, delivering patient care with compassion and efficiency.

Responsibilities include assisting in treatment, performing reassessments, and maintaining accurate documentation, with a 36-hour work week during the day shift. Iowa licensure and BLS are required within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 2 year Occupational Therapy college program or equivalent experience.
• Iowa state license.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months of employment.

• Assist occupational therapists in providing treatment to patients in a caring, professional and efficient manner in settings that may include inpatient, outpatient, long term care, home health care and/or outreach services in the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations
• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines
• Be responsible for assisting the therapist in reassessment
• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner

Education

2 year Occupational Therapy college program or equivalent experience

Iowa state license
