Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Dubuque, IA seeks an Occupational Therapist for a Part-time, Per Diem role. The department offers varied day shifts with weekend and holiday rotations to support patient care.

You will evaluate and treat patients across all ages, require state licensure, and NCOTB registration, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care within a Magnet-designated hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to function as an occupational therapist in all commonly practiced aspects of patient evaluation and treatment appropriate for the assigned age group.
• Must have ability to give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to geriatric.
• Must have ability to plan day-to-day activities and work independently.
• Must be able to put patients at ease and make them comfortable.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests.
• Registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NCBOT)
• Bachelor’s Degree Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
