Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our health system across a 17-county region serving the Quad Cities area. Join a team dedicated to high-quality patient care and professional growth, with opportunities to work across inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will provide treatment under supervision, document care accurately, and support reassessment while guiding clinical interns.

Qualifications

• 2 year college program or equivalent experience.
• Iowa Physical Therapist Assistant license; if licensed in another state, must obtain licensure within 1 year.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment to patients within Genesis Health System in inpatient, out-patient, long term, home healthcare or outreach settings.
• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines.
• Be responsible for assisting the therapist in reassessment.
• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Supervise clinical interns in an effective and professional manner with guidance from the supervising physical therapist.

As a PT Assistant At MercyOne Genesis, You Will

• Provide treatment to patients within Genesis Health System in a caring, professional and efficient manner - settings may include inpatient, out-patient, long term, home healthcare and /or outreach services


• Provide treatment independently according to State practice guidelines


• Be responsible for assisting the therapist in reassessment


• Complete necessary documentation in an accurate and timely manner


• Supervise clinical interns in an effective and professional manner with the guidance and assistance of the supervising physical therapist

Schedule

• 20 hours a week


• Day shift
