Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center in Texas is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess, plan, implement and educate patients and families with guidance as needed, while maintaining professional independence in daily care. You will collaborate with care teams to address functional goals in rehab programs.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited OT program and Texas OT license; BLS certification from the American Heart Association at hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Texas Occupational Therapist License required upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assessment, treatment planning, implementation, education and communication to address patient and family needs with supervisory guidance as needed.
• Maintain a level of independent practice without direct supervision while collaborating with the care team.

Job description

The practice of occupational therapy shall include assessment, treatment planning, implementation, education, communication and demonstration of therapeutic techniques to address the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance as needed. Otherwise, and occupational therapist shall work independently without direct supervision.

Required Qualifications:
