Job summary

WeCare at Foltsbrook is actively seeking an Occupational Therapist for our Herkimer, NY community. The selected therapist will help residents develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills alongside addressing physical, mental, or developmental conditions.

The role involves planning and delivering therapy, adhering to care plans, and educating patients and families. A valid OT license and a relevant degree are required, with opportunities for professional growth and competitive

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
• BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
• Current knowledge of treatment principles and practices of occupational therapy.
• Ability to continually learn and grow in the profession.
• Familiarity with ADL evaluation tools.
• Proven working experience as an occupational therapist.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment to residents and patients with disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Assure all therapy is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care.
