Job summary

Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center in San Jose, California, is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate, plan, and administer treatment for residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal needs, working within an interdisciplinary team.

The role offers a salary range of $104,000 to $124,800, a sign-on bonus, and benefits such as PTO and referral bonuses; new graduates are welcome and a California license is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/MS/OTD) as stated.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current California license to practice Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per plan of care and works with an interdisciplinary team.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patients' needs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and conducts home assessments as appropriate.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
