Job summary

Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat residents with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal needs. The OT will plan and administer therapy, conduct assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe discharge home.

Qualifications include a degree in Occupational Therapy and a California license. New graduates welcome; one year of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current California license to practice Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan and administer treatment for patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Interpret tests and measurements for strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory status.
• Provide direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provide adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Occasionally conduct home assessments to ensure safe discharge.
