Job summary

Hayward Hills Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal concerns, supporting discharge planning and home assessments as part of an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Occupational Therapy and a California license; one year of clinical experience is preferred, and new graduates are welcome.

This is an on-site role in Hayward, CA with a competitive salary and a sign-on bonus, plus PTO

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current California license to practice Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
