Roscoe Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in the Catskills seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join its rehabilitation team. You will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services to help residents regain independence and improve daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid New York State OT license.
• Newly licensed OTs encouraged to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong clinical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide skilled therapy services focused on improving functional abilities, ADLs, mobility, and quality of life.
• Establish short- and long-term rehabilitation goals and monitor resident progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident outcomes.
• Supervise Certified OT Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with state regulations.
• Complete all required documentation, assessments, care plans, and billing records accurately and timely.
• Provide resident and family education regarding therapy goals, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programs.
• Coordinate adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment needs.
• Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, staff education, and quality improvement initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Valid New York State Occupational Therapist License required
• Newly licensed Occupational Therapists encouraged to apply
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred
• Strong clinical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
