Job summary

Sweetwater Care is looking to add an in-house Occupational Therapy Assistant to our dedicated therapy team in Red Bluff, California. This full-time/part-time/PRN opportunity focuses on patient-centered rehab and collaborative care with our IDT.

You will document treatments, support OT-led plans, and participate in care conferences to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and smooth operations in a busy rehab setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed OTA required.
• Open to therapists at all experience levels.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining department and treatment areas.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Record treatment charges per facility policy and procedures.
• Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.

Responsibilities:

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines
• Record treatments given and progress notes in medical record
• Assist in maintaining department
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility
• Record treatment charges per the facility policy and procedures
• Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program

Experience/Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
