Job summary

Sweetwater Care and Rehab invites qualified Occupational Therapy Assistants to join our in-house therapy team in Fresno, CA. We offer a family-like, collaborative environment where you help design and implement patient rehabilitation programs.

This position supports therapists and participates in team conferences, with a flexible range of hours (Full-time/Part-time/PRN) and a benefits package including health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong writing skills for documentation of care.
• Ability to work well within a rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and follow documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining department and treatment area.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Communicate patient progress and plans with supervisor and health team.
• Record treatment charges per facility policy.
• Instruct families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.

Responsibilities:

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines
• Record treatments given and progress notes in medical record
• Assist in maintaining department
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area
• Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.
• Participate in training programs for other staff in the facility
• Record treatment charges per the facility policy and procedures
• Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance program

Experience/Qualifications:

Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
