Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to work with infants, toddlers and their families in home and community settings across California.

You will help children reach developmental goals through play-based OT activities and family engagement. Join a multidisciplinary team delivering Early Intervention services, following IFSPs, coaching families using the Parent Coaching Model, and documenting progress while upholding HIPAA and state regulations.

Qualifications

• CA OT license required.
• Pediatric/early intervention experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide OT services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to develop strategies for development goals.
• Use family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment: homes, daycare centers, and community settings.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
