Job summary

Merakey is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our School program in Philadelphia, PA, located at 3240 North Hancock. The position runs 8:00am to 4:00pm, with duties including evaluations, IEP participation, direct OT services for grades K–12+, and collaboration with teachers and families.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy, be NBCOT-certified, hold a valid state OT license, and have experience with autism is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires NBCOT certification.
• Must possess a valid State Occupational Therapist License.
• Experience working with children with autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' functional abilities and identify individualized treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans, including participation in the development and revision of IEPs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades K–12+ to support academic success and independence.
• Evaluate sensory-motor, neuromuscular, psychosocial, and cognitive-perceptual skills that impact student performance.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support student progress and achieve educational goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, current professional licensure, and all required continuing education in accordance with agency and state regulations.

Requirements
