Job summary

Merakey is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our school program in Philadelphia, PA, located at 3240 North Hancock. You will evaluate, plan, and deliver OT services for students in grades K–12+, collaborating with teachers and families to support academic success.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, licensure maintenance, and ongoing professional development within a non-profit educational health setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT with a degree in occupational therapy.
• Experience with school-based settings and IEP processes.
• Autism experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' functional abilities and identify individualized treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans, including participation in the development and revision of IEPs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades K–12+ to support academic success and independence.
• Evaluate sensory-motor, neuromuscular, psychosocial, and cognitive-perceptual skills that impact student performance.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support student progress and achieve educational goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, current professional licensure, and all required continuing education in accordance with agency and state regulations.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelors of Arts or Masters of Arts in Occupational Therapist program Certified by National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Must possess a valid State Occupational Therapist License.
• Experience working with children with autism preferred.
