Job summary

Merakey seeks an Occupational Therapist to join our School program in Leechburg. You will conduct OT evaluations, develop and document individualized treatment plans, and provide direct OT services to students in grades K-12+ to support academic success and independence.

Ideal candidates hold NBCOT certification and a valid state OT license with experience working with autism; daily pay options and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred.
• Active NBCOT certification and state OT license required.
• Autism experience preferred and beneficial for student support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for students in K-12+.

• Evaluate sensory, motor, cognitive and psychosocial factors affecting performance.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ongoing licensure and CE.

Hourly: $50.00 per hour

Position Details:

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' functional abilities and identify individualized treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans, including participation in the development and revision of IEPs.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades K-12+ to support academic success and independence.
• Evaluate sensory-motor, neuromuscular, psychosocial, and cognitive-perceptual skills that impact student performance.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support student progress and achieve educational goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, current professional licensure, and all required continuing education in accordance with agency and state regulations.
