Job summary

Sentara Health in Newport News, VA seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist to Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility and independence. You will supervise care provided by team members and develop collaborative relationships with patients, families, and internal/external clinicians.

The role requires a Doctorate/Master's/Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and an active OT license, with a focus on educating patients and caregivers and building

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with current OT license.
• Experience providing education to clients and caregivers.
• Ability to develop and update formal plans of care.
• Experience in rehabilitative therapies and modalities.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury and help build or restore vocational/daily living skills as well as general independence.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $95,825.60 - $140,961.60 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
