Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence after illness or injury. You will evaluate needs, develop individualized therapy plans, and deliver hands-on, evidence-based interventions in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

You’ll monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate patients and families to support recovery. The position offers growth opportunities within a supportive, mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• State of Tennessee OT license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in outpatient pediatrics and adult acute care is highly preferred.

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Your role will include

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need

• State of Tennessee Occupational Therapist license required
• Must be a graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current
• Experience in Outpatient Pediatrics and Adult Acute care highly preferred
