Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our IRF team in Nashville. You will evaluate patients, develop customized therapy plans, and provide hands-on interventions to improve independence and quality of life.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to support recovery. Leadership duties include mentoring assistants while upholding our mission and values.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• OTR/OT license to be obtained within 6 months of start date; OT license required.
• Basic Life Support or CPR certification to be completed within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed and documenting outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement during recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe environments and seamless transitions of care.
• Leading and mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding the organization's mission.

Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Masters Degree
• (OTR) Occupational Therapist Registered, or (OT) Occupational Therapist must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
