Job summary

Community Medical & Dental Care is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Monsey, New York. Community Medical and Dental Care, a non-profit community health center located in Rockland County, NY, is hiring a part time Occupational Therapist. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with a variety of physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions.
• Facilitate development and rehabilitation by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy programs tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
• Help patients regain physical functioning and independence through therapeutic activities, exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices.
• Evaluate therapy results by observing, noting, and assessing patient progress; recommend and implement necessary adjustments to the plan of care.
• Ensure continuity of care by instructing patients and caregivers in home exercise programs and providing education for at-home care.

Qualifications

• Current NY State Occupational Therapy license (Required)
• Experience working with pediatric and/or adult patients preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
