Job summary

Community Medical and Dental Care in Rockland County, NY is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will assess and treat patients with physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions, and tailor programs to their needs.

You will educate patients and caregivers, promote home exercise plans, and help patients regain independence through therapy, adaptive techniques, and devices. Strong communication and NY OT license required.

Qualifications

• Current NY State Occupational Therapy license (Required)
• Experience working with pediatric and/or adult patients preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with physical, developmental, neurological, and functional conditions.
• Plan and administer OT programs tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
• Help patients regain functioning through therapeutic activities, exercises, adaptive techniques, and devices.
• Evaluate therapy results and adjust plan of care as needed.
• Instruct patients and caregivers in home exercise programs and at-home care.
