Job summary

Blue Stone Therapy is opening a brand-new outpatient therapy clinic in Mitchell, SD, and seeks an Occupational Therapist to join the team from the ground up. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized OT plans, and help restore independence in daily activities within a supportive environment.

The role offers clinical autonomy with leadership support, a flexible part-time schedule, and opportunities for professional growth as the program develops in October 2026.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in South Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized OT treatment plans.
• Help patients improve ADLs, upper extremity function, cognition, coordination, and mobility.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications to support safe living.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation.
• Support development of a patient-focused outpatient therapy program.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Help patients improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, cognition, coordination, and functional mobility
• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to support safe, independent living
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Complete timely, accurate documentation

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in South Dakota
