Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation based on MD orders.
• Document findings on the standardized evaluation form timely and accurately.
• Monitor and document patient progress and report changes to the supervising OT.
• Assist in implementing a treatment plan with long/short-term goals, frequency, and modalities.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and modify as needed.
• Educate patients and families on home-based care techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a B.S., MA, or M.S. or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy that is recognized by the AOTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state of Maryland

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans to patients utilizing modalities and modify patient treatment as indicated while adhering to precautions.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for home-based care.
