Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for PRN/per diem work in outpatient rehabilitation.

The role focuses on helping patients regain independence through ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper-extremity function, with one-on-one patient care in a fast-paced setting. Ideal candidates hold an OT degree, current state license, BLS, and, if possible, NBCOT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state OT certification/license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification (plus).

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function.
• Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training.
• Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP).
• Document care and monitor progress in EMR (Epic).
• Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines.

Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation- Occupational Therapy

Employment Type: PRN/ Per Diem

Shifts Available: Day Shift

Hours: 8-hour shift- Variable

Location: St. Mary's Medical Center- Blue Springs, MO

Join our outpatient rehabilitation team as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and make a meaningful impact by helping patients regain independence in their daily lives. In this role, you will work one-on-one with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, focusing on improving functional abilities, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
