Job summary

Jabbergym, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide school-based services in a K–12 setting in Honokaa, Hawaii. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and deliver direct and consultative OT services to help students access their education.

This role collaborates with teachers, families, and a multidisciplinary team, participates in IEPs, and supports accommodations and adaptive equipment. A Hawaii OT license and school-based experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii OT license required.
• Ability to meet Hawaii DOE requirements for school-based work.
• Background and TB clearance required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal occupational therapy assessments to determine students’ functional needs.
• Develop and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide direct Occupational Therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and triennial evaluations as appropriate.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other providers to support students’ participation and progress in the educational environment.
• Provide consultation and recommendations regarding accommodations, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support student access.
• Maintain accurate therapy notes, assessment data, progress reports, and other required documentation.
• Support students across a variety of developmental and functional needs within the school setting.
