Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time role in Honokaa, Hawaii, serving K–12 students in a school setting. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and deliver direct and consultative OT services to support students’ functional skills and educational access.

The position offers relocation and travel assistance, a $54–$56 hourly pay range, and benefits including CEU/license reimbursement, tuition assistance, and a company 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must have Hawaii OT license.
• Ability to meet Hawaii Department of Education requirements for school-based work.
• Background clearance and TB clearance as required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal and dynamic occupational therapy assessments to determine students’ needs.
• Develop and coordinate treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide direct OT services aligned with IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and triennial evaluations as appropriate.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and providers to support student participation and progress.
• Provide recommendations on accommodations and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain therapy notes, data, and progress reports.
• Support diverse student needs within the school setting.

About the Role

Provide Occupational Therapy services to students in a K–12 school setting in Lihue, Hawaii. You’ll conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct and consultative OT services to help students develop functional skills and successfully access their education. What You’ll Do

• Conduct formal and dynamic occupational therapy assessments to determine students’ functional needs
• Develop and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide direct Occupational Therapy services aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Participate in IEP meetings, annual reviews, and triennial evaluations as appropriate
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other providers to support students’ participation and progress in the educational environment
• Provide consultation and recommendations regarding accommodations, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support student access
• Maintain accurate therapy notes, assessment data, progress reports, and other required documentation
• Support students across a variety of developmental and functional needs within the school setting

What We’re Looking For

Must Have:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the State of Hawaii
• Ability to meet Hawaii Department of Education requirements for working in a school-based setting
• Background clearance and TB clearance, as required
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams

Preferred:

• Previous school-based Occupational Therapy experience
• Experience working with K–12 students and students with disabilities
• Familiarity with IEPs and special education services
• Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices
• Experience with school-based caseload management
