Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our per diem day-shift team, with weekend and holiday rotation. You will perform comprehensive patient evaluations and deliver individualized treatment plans for diverse age groups in a hospital setting.

Strong communication and the ability to work independently are essential. Required are NBCOT certification and Iowa licensure (or eligibility), plus a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with Iowa licensure or eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• NBCOT certification and eligibility to practice in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT evaluation and treatment for patients across age groups.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams and documentation.

General Requirements

• Must be able to function as an occupational therapist in all commonly practiced aspects of patient evaluation and treatment appropriate for the assigned age group.
• Must have ability to give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to geriatric.
• Must have ability to plan day-to-day activities and work independently.
• Must be able to put patients at ease and make them comfortable.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests.

Education

• Registration through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NCBOT)
• Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
