Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking experienced registered nurses for day and night shifts. The hospital, a 25-bed critical access facility, emphasizes exceptional patient care and staff growth within a Magnet-designated environment.

Applicants should have a BSN preferred, hold an active Iowa RN license, and be willing to complete required training (BLS) within set timelines. MercyOne emphasizes teamwork, safety, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Must be a registered nurse and must hold an active license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa.
• Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization is preferred and strongly encouraged.
• The registered nurse continuously seeks opportunities to enhance his or her own professional nursing practice.
• Membership in an appropriate professional nursing organization is recommended.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) will be required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care coordinating with RN team and interdisciplinary staff.
• Administer and monitor patient treatments with safety and accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support Magnet Hospital standards and foster a respectful, patient-centered environment.

The Mercy registered nurse must hold an active license to practice nursing in the state of Iowa.

A baccalaureate degree in nursing and certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization is preferred and strongly encouraged.

An applicant must have a minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing.
