Job summary

Saint Joseph Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boston, MA is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our weekend team. You will evaluate residents, develop plans of care, and communicate with physicians, providing treatments as scheduled.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited OT program, current state license, and prior SNF/long-term care experience preferred. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current and in good standing state license.
• One year experience in Skilled Nursing Facility and/or Long Term-Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate resident progress to supervisor and other team members.
• Evaluate, develop appropriate skilled plan of care, and communicate with physicians as a registered therapist; and provide treatments following the plan of care developed as a registered therapist or assistant.
• Document daily resident participation with skilled treatment sessions in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Instruct resident's family or nursing staff on current functional level as indicated.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Provide support to the center interdisciplinary departments as directed by the Director or Rehab to provide the highest level of care in the industry.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program

Current state license in good standing

One year experience in Skilled Nursing Facility/Long-Term Care preferred
