Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to work PRN in an acute care setting, serving orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac and general medical patients. A diverse team at a community-based hospital offers a great opportunity for collaboration and growth.

The OT provides skilled evaluation and treatment, participates in discharge planning, and communicates with patients, families, and the care team while documenting per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) required.
• OT license or eligible to practice.
• Master's Degree in OT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Educates, collaborates with, and conferences with patients, families, and other health care providers; making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed.
• Delegates to assistants, techs, and students through written and verbal communication including determining the skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet the needs of the patient.
• Completes documentation in accordance with departmental policies.
• Provides assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for Occupational Therapy Services.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center has an opening for a Occupational Therapist to work as a PRN in an acute setting – orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac, and general medical patients. A great opportunity to work with a diverse team at a community-based hospital!

• 4 shifts every 5 weeks, 2 of which must be on the weekend
• 1 holiday or 1 day of a holiday weekend
• Hours 7:30‑4:00 or 8:00‑4:30

Overview

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Role Purpose

The licensed or registered Occupational Therapist (OT) provides skilled occupational therapy services to patients including all aspects of evaluation and treatment.
