Job summary

Prime Healthcare's outpatient rehabilitation team seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a PRN/Per Diem role at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.

You will conduct one-on-one sessions focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper-extremity function, while educating patients and coordinating care in Epic EMR. The role suits both experienced OTs and new grads who are committed to patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current state OT certification/license
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate
• National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA, and OTAC

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function
• Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training
• Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP)
• Document care and monitor progress in EMR (Epic)
• Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines

Education

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy

Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license

Current BLS (AHA) certificate

Shifts Available: Day Shift

Hours: 8-hour shift- Variable

Location: St. Mary's Medical Center- Blue Springs, MO

Join our outpatient rehabilitation team as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and make a meaningful impact by helping patients regain independence in their daily lives. In this role, you will work one-on-one with patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions, focusing on improving functional abilities, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
