Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine, is seeking an Occupational Therapist specializing in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehab to join our rehabilitation team in Baltimore, MD.

The role involves evaluating patients using objective techniques, designing and implementing treatment plans to restore maximum function, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and hospital performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.
• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Acute Care required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ occupational limitations and medical conditions using objective evaluation techniques.
• Prescribe and implement a treatment program to restore patients to their maximum level of function.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes.
• Promote improvements in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care.
• Incorporate and operationalize the goals and objectives of Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Position Summary: Occupational Therapist specializing in Post-Acute Inpatient Rehab:

• Works under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager
• Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients
• Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function
• Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
• Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care
• Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization

Shift: 40 hours per week

Education:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.
• equired Licensure, Certification, Etc.:
• Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required

Work Experience:

• 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience preferred
• Knowledge of Acute Care required.
• Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program

Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center | Johns Hopkins Medicine

Salary Range: Minimum $37.02/hour - Maximum $61.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
