Job summary

Georgetown University seeks an Occupational Safety Manager to develop and manage comprehensive safety programs ensuring OSHA compliance and DC requirements across campus operations, construction, and maintenance.

Reporting to the Director of Fire Prevention and Occupational Safety, this role leads hazard identifications, risk assessments, training initiatives, incident investigations, and PPE program management with a focus on continuous safety improvements for employees, students, and visitors

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety or related field required.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in occupational safety and program management.
• Experience supporting safety in complex campus or institutional environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive occupational safety programs compliant with OSHA and DC requirements.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.
• Lead safety training programs and PPE program management for employees, contractors, and students.
• Collaborate with departments, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure safety across construction, renovation, and operations.
