Job summary

Owensboro Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. This role is within the Occupational Health department.

You will implement and monitor care plans, communicate patient conditions, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and ensure discharge planning aligns with patient and family needs.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Nursing qualification: RN licensed in Kentucky upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with patient/family and members of the healthcare team.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
• Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
