Job summary

BJC Corporate Health Services seeks an experienced nurse supervisor to manage daily Occupational Health operations, oversee the Workers' Compensation program, and coordinate delivery of health services to employees.

You will supervise clinical staff, ensure compliance, perform pre-employment assessments, and develop care plans with the health team while maintaining vigilance for safety-sensitive requirements.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing required.
• 2–5 years of supervisory experience.
• RN license required.
• COHN certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates employee injuries and facilitates treatment and follow-up.
• Coordinates and delivers occupational health services to employees.
• Oversees workers' compensation case management.
• Performs pre-employment physicals to assess eligibility.
• Develops care plans with interprofessional team and communicates across care continuum.

• Full time – 40 hours a week
• Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm
• No holiday or weekends
• On call for afterhours coverage

Preferred Qualifications

Role PurposeResponsible for supervising the daily operations of Occupational Health, managing the Workers' Compensation program, and coordinating delivery of the HSO's Occupational Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates employee injuries and facilitates appropriate treatment and follow-up.
• Coordinates and delivers occupational health services to employees.
• Responsible for case management oversight and coordination for all worker's compensation claims.
• Performs pre-employment physicals for newly hired employees to determine their eligibility and capacity for the position.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
