Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking an RN with occupational health experience to supervise daily operations and manage the Workers' Compensation program. You will coordinate delivery of health services to employees and ensure comprehensive case management in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Role requires nursing licensure and a background in pre-employment physicals, with emphasis on safety-sensitive duties and adherence to established guidelines.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree is required.
• Current RN license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Role Purpose

Responsible for supervising the daily operations of Occupational Health, managing the Workers' Compensation program, and coordinating delivery of the HSO's Occupational Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates employee injuries and facilitates appropriate treatment and follow-up.
• Coordinates and delivers occupational health services to employees.
• Responsible for case management oversight and coordination for all worker's compensation claims.
• Performs pre-employment physicals for newly hired employees to determine their eligibility and capacity for the position.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
