Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville is seeking a full-time Occupational Health physician to join our hospital-based team at Edward Hospital. You will provide clinical care for work-related injuries and perform pre-placement, return-to-work, DOT, and fitness-for-duty exams.

The ideal candidate is Board Certified/Board Eligible in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care; licensed in Illinois; and proficient with Epic EMR.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited medical school.
Eligible for medical licensing in Illinois.
Board certification or board eligible in area of expertise.
DOT certification.
MRO certification is a plus.
BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients.
Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection.
Shares health care duties with other physicians to ensure availability of a physician at all times.
Determines referrals based on examination and patient needs.
Determines urgency level of follow-up, referrals or consultations.
Exercises final medical judgment in health care issues.
Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs.
Orders studies and ancillary services.
Documents all services in patient records.
Reviews long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.
Consults with Medical Director and staff on care, assessment, and education.
