Endeavor Health is seeking a full-time occupational health physician to join our Naperville market at Edward Hospital. The role focuses on clinical care for work-related injuries and workers' compensation management within our integrated health system.

You will perform pre-placement, return-to-work, DOT exams, and fitness-for-duty assessments, collaborating with a physician-led team and delivering evidence-based care across multiple sites using Epic EMR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited and recognized medical school required.
• Eligible for medical licensing in the State of Illinois.
• Board certification/Board eligible in area of expertise; DOT Certification; MRO Certification a plus; BLS.
• Experience in immediate care, urgent care, ER, or occupational health.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating clinical patients.
• Educates patients on wellness and prevention.
• Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure coverage.
• Determines required referrals based on examination and patient needs.
• Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments.
• Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
• Documents all services in patient medical record.
• Oversees mid-level medical staff if assigned and nursing staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information according to guidelines.
