Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking an experienced RN for an Occupational Health role in Naperville, IL. Responsibilities include patient assessments, education tailored to cultural backgrounds, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and support for wound/ostomy care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and active Illinois RN license.
• Preferred ICU, ER, radiology nursing, or wound/ostomy care experience.
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments, collect health information, and update care plans to achieve expected outcomes.
• Educate patients and families tailored to their cultural background and learning needs, supporting self-management and disease understanding.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, share knowledge, and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Assist with injections, venipuncture, drug administration, and IV management.
• Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and stay current with wound/ostomy/skin care best practices.
• Monitor wound/ostomy treatment effectiveness and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide psychological support and assist in transporting acutely ill patients when needed.
